10 Ways to Date Your Partner
Updated: Nov 11, 2020

So often we forget to take care of our lovers. We put in front of them, our day to day lives, our kids, work, or anything else that comes up. It’s not on purpose it happens simply because of life. It happens because we know at the end of the day, month, year, and even the year after that, our partner is going to be there. They will be there because of the commitment they made. If there is one thing that I have learned from being married, it is that you have to create special moments. They don't always just happen. You have to date your partner as if the relationship is still brand new. You have to treat them as if you could lose them at any moment. Remember to cherish all that made you love your partner while remembering how little time we actually have with one another.❤
So here’s a list of 10 ways to date your partner and share intimate moments with one another. I've listed the approximate price per couple to give a baseline. Enjoy your partner!
Take your partner out on a surprise picnic. This can be a very low cost date. Spread a blanket in front of the TV, grab your favorite snacks, and VIOLA it's a front room picnic! Packing a basket and heading to an open park for some outside time is a great way to spend time together. The backyard or car in the driveway can also be romantic picnics. Anyplace that you both feel comfortable can set the tone for a great picnic. Grab some drinks, chips, and a blanket. It never has to be elaborate, it just has to get the job done so that your partner knows you were thinking about them. (Free to $150 depends on what you bring)
Go for a long walk. Walking is one of those exercises that can be done for the most part anywhere. You can drive to a park or just walk out your front door with your partner. This gives you a chance to get fresh air and exercise all while spending time with your partner. The walk doesn't have to be far or be fast paced just time spent with your partner. Who couldn’t benefit from some heart-healthy walking? Plus all you have to do is simply open your door and go. No driving required! (Free)
Cook a meal together. With the recent world events, there has been a rise of online cooking channels. They send you the list of ingredients and tools needed then you connect to the Zoom meeting and start cooking. The great part about it is you get to speak to the chef. If you can not spend the money for the online cooking class, check YouTube for new recipes. Find one you want to try there and follow along with the YouTuber. Cooking together something fun can be exciting and lead to some really deep conversations. Not to mention some great food and definitely some laughs. (Free to $140)
Go to a gun range. I get it, feeling the power of a semi-automatic pistol in your hand is not everyone’s cup of tea. It wasn’t mine, but over the years I've learned to appreciate it. On Valentine's day some ranges offer couples rates. There won't be must talking during but definitely something to talk about over the drive home. ($40 to $80)
Take a painting class. There are now online painting classes, you simply buy the materials and join the class. Prior to Feb 2020 you could go into a class and have a few glasses of wine while you painted. Whether you join in person or go at it at home, this is a perfect way to let loose and just have fun. The goal is NOT to have a perfect painting, it's to have intimate time with one another. ($20 to $75)
Book a couple’s massage. Not only do you get to have your body massaged to melt away your stress, but you also get to enjoy time with your partner doing something together. If you have the cash splurge for the full day spa experience. This will be totally worth it and allow you both to take a few hours away from your busy lives. Check out Groupon for your city’s deals. ($50 to $450)
Go to a wine tasting. The reason this is a great date idea, you get to talk to your partner and explore new tastes by discovering different local wines. Depending on where you go you can explore wines from all over the world. Find your and your partners unique tastes as you sip to renewal of love. Plus you get to drink wine. Spending time with your partner doesn't get any better than this. Did I mention the wine? ($40 to $350)
Drive without a destination. These dates are probably my favorite. You can just jump in the car and drive. On the way, pick a subject and just talk about it. One subject will lead to another and another. By the time you're done, you've totally renewed your love whilst never leaving your car! To change these dates up pick a direction. One time take nothing but back roads. Let your partner decide the length of driving time once you meet that time stop and see where you are. Maybe you find an abandoned town or a farmers market. Your destinations could be limitless on driving dates along with the conversation. (Free to $60 depending on your gas tank)
Throw some sharpies! No, not the markers. Axe-throwing is the newest thing and boy does it give you a workout. This is a great way to try something challenging while having fun. If you're competitive even better. You can see who can get the best score. Plus you may be able to have some yummy drinks while your there. Who knew, beer and axes do go together! So get a decent workout while having fun throwing some sharp objects! Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any mishaps. ($40 to $80)
Take a fitness class. Who said your Zumba or Yoga class just had to be for you, take your partner! Better yet take a class you've never taken before. There are so many different types of fitness classes you can find one that fits both you and your partner. Get out there and get your sweaty fitness on so you can grow together as a couple. ($45 to $100)
